THE KINGS & QUEENS OF HEARTS AT H’MAN SHAWA

On February 12, 2026, the H’man Shawa Early Childhood Development Center hosted its annual Kings and Queens of Hearts fundraiser. The event raised an impressive $14,833.00, funds that will directly support the students through the purchase of new school equipment and supplies, as well as help provide enriching field trip opportunities.

This year’s Kings and Queens of Hearts are:

As the school’s sole annual fundraiser, the King and Queen of Hearts event plays a vital role in supporting the educational experiences of H’man Shawa students. The tradition dates back to 1982, when Ray Thomas and Felicia Smith were crowned the first King and Queen of Hearts nearly 44 years ago. It stands as a meaningful testament to the enduring spirit of the school community that this beloved fundraiser continues to thrive.
