About the FMYN FD

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Fire Department was founded in 2000. Currently there is one Fire Station serving the 40 square miles of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

How Many Firefighters are in the FMYN FD?
The department consists of 15 line personnel divided between three shifts; there are also two recruit positions, and three administrative personnel. FMYN FD firefighters work a 48/96 rotation, meaning they are on duty for 48 hours at a time, and off for 96 hours.
