BEYOND RESILIENT HOSTS CLOTHING GIVEAWAY

By Harrison J. Bahe

On July 19, 2025, the non-profit organization Beyond Resilient held a community clothing giveaway. Residents of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation were invited to browse through a large assortment of donated clothing items. All items were free, and attendees were encouraged to take what they needed for themselves or their families. To start the morning off right, breakfast was served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., while raffle drawings were held throughout the event.

Beyond Resilient, led by community advocate Imogene Hosay, is a non-profit dedicated to supporting foster and kinship care youth. While their mission centers around helping children in out-of-home placements, their outreach efforts often extend to the broader community. “Thank you to everyone that helped make today’s event possible! It was a huge success!” Hosay says.

Hosay shared that the idea of a winter clothing giveaway has been brought to the table. “It was suggested to do a winter clothing giveaway! Beyond Resilient will see if they are able to get enough donations by then!” she said. With colder months approaching, the organization hopes to collect warm clothing, jackets, and other seasonal necessities to continue supporting families in need.

Anyone interested in donating new or gently used clothing or in getting involved as a volunteer is encouraged to reach out. Donations of all kinds go a long way in making a difference. To contribute or learn more, contact Imogene Hosay at (623) 695 – 0908.
