A NITE OF FRITE

On October 9, 2025, the Fort McDowell Recreation Center transformed into a haunted haven for the annual Frite Nite Celebration. From ghouls to goblins, witches to zombies, Boba Fett to Master Chief, K-Pop Demon Hunter to Princess Fiona, community members came together for their favorite spooky-season tradition.

Outside, four unique food trucks lined the entrance, tempting hungry trick-or-treaters with delicious options. The Fountain Hills Food Truck dished out classic hamburgers, hot dogs, and tacos, while It’s Seoul Good offered a flavorful assortment of Korean cuisine. Coffee lovers got their fix at Besos de Espresso, serving gourmet lattes and seasonal drinks, and Nacho Wars lived up to its name with nachos from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Inside the gymnasium, the atmosphere was lively and festive. Tables from a wide range of community programs and organizations filled the space, including the Fort McDowell Senior Center, Home Visitation Program, Youth Council, Tribal Council, Fountain Hills Protect Our Youth Coalition, Beyond Resilient, Fort McDowell Police Department, Fort McDowell Tribal Courts, Fort McDowell Fire Department, and the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and Golf Course. Each booth offered bags of goodies, interactive games, and prizes for children of all ages. The cake walk drew plenty of excitement as participants circled for a chance to win a sweet treat.

Despite the unpredictable weather that swept across Arizona over the weekend, the 2025 Frite Nite proved to be a thrilling success. Families and friends came together to celebrate community and the spirit of Halloween in true Fort McDowell fashion. Here’s to another year of fun, fright, and festive memories!
